Match Report
The Faroe Islands and North Macedonia played out a 1-1 draw in their UEFA Nations League match on Wednesday. The home side took the lead through Joan Simun Edmundsson in the 22nd minute, but North Macedonia equalised through Darko Velkovski just before half-time.
The result leaves North Macedonia top of Group D2 with 10 points from four games, while the Faroe Islands are bottom with two points from four games.
Reaction
Faroe Islands coach HÃ¥kan Ericson said: "I am happy with the result. We played well and created some good chances. We could have won the game, but we also could have lost it. In the end, a draw was a fair result."
North Macedonia coach Blagoja Milevski said: "I am disappointed with the result. We wanted to win the game and go top of the group. We didn't play well enough and we made too many mistakes. We need to improve if we want to qualify for the next round."
