About Anime Expo

Anime Expo (AX) is an annual anime convention held in Los Angeles, California, and organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA).

It is the largest anime convention in North America, and one of the largest in the world. AX was first held in 1992 with 1,500 attendees, and has grown every year since then. In 2017, AX had over 100,000 attendees.
